Enabling commenting on a layout

Any layout can be enabled for commenting. Comments can be used to track progress of a sale, an order or a user’s onboarding.

To enable commenting go to the layout editor and click on the settings tab. In the settings tab there are two options related to commenting.


Toggling this enable or disable the ability to comment on a record.

Comments are shown within the activity history section which is only visible if commentable is enabled or if Twilio is set-up.

Parent comments table

If you have two tables with a one-to-many relationship such as organisations who have many users. You can aggregate all comments on the users on the organisations comments by setting the organisation table as the parent comments table.
